The most important thing to keep in mind is that you must have patience when you get ready to remove your braids. This does not matter if you have had your braids for only 2 days or if you have had your braids for several months. You are also going to need to use braid removal cream in order to soften your natural hair. This is especially true if you have been wearing hair extensions. Also keep in mind that hair that has been braided can become very dry as well as matted or tangled from the build up of sprays, shampoo and oils. If you do not use a braid remover cream then you run the risk of possible hair damage.

If you have been wearing braided extensions then you are going to need to cut off the tip of your hair extension and unravel the braids. If you had sewn in weaves then simply cut the weft of the braid. Once you have unraveled all of the braids you will need to comb your hair very thoroughly before you wash your hair. If you do not comb your hair then it will become matted.

What ever the style of braid that you are interested in, you will want to make sure that you know the factors in regards to braid removal. Although it is true that braids can cause your hair to thin out this can be avoided with proper maintenance and if you already had healthy and thick hair to begin with.
