The Beauty Of The Rising Sun

For many thousands of years, the Japanese people have devoted themselves to the perfection of everything they pursue. They are rather intriguing as a people. They are among the glorious civilizations that have put higher standards of what beauty ought to be. From their architecture, to their culinary expertise; everything is beautiful. Even for something as violent as war, they have captured the beauty of its nature through its martial philosophies espoused in Bushido, the code of the samurai. There is but a simple explanation as to why they have attained such high standards for beauty. It is because Japan itself is not a fertile land but almost barren and cursed with frequent and grave natural calamities. Therefore, it has been inculcated to the minds of Japanese people that they have to do so much with what little they have.

Speaking of beauty in Japan, nothing could be more beautiful than the beauties themselves. Yes indeed, I am talking about their geishas. Geishas are considered to be a class that has been the personification of beauty throughout the Land of the Rising Sun. But they were not who they were before. During the pre-Edo period, there was no geisha class that only emphasizes their gifts for beauty. There were only courtesans before, women who exist to give sexual pleasure to men in whatever ways necessary. However, with the evolution of Japan's samurai culture, the emergence of the geisha came about along with that advancement of their civilization. The Geisha class of female artisans already came into existence around the early decades of the Tokugawa Era. These women are devoted to being the walking art form, their faces daubed with foundation cosmetics and their bodies covered with exotic or sometimes kaleidoscopic robes. One would think of them today as the famed American Top Models, though their level of intellect is highly incomparable from the former. More than their superficial appearance itself; these geisha women make use of their skills in singing, playing the Japanese lute, dancing, acting, poetry analysis and even philosophical argument. Needless to say, they are extremely very smart compared to our contemporary notion of what being a model is.

Speaking of cosmetics, a Japanese geisha often use rice powder. Japanese women have a naturally light pigment and the contrast of rice powder on their skin is not that bizarre. However, Japanese fashion before is centered on excessive light pigment. For someone of their pale skin tone, it accentuates their beauty more than it ruins it. Throughout Asia, the Japanese has some degree of supremacy as far as aesthetics are concerned. In the past, perhaps no woman is far more beautiful than a geisha, who lives in her own floating world, with her external appearance as her asset. But as a woman in her prerogative as human, she is only floating in her emptiness, never to know love that unites one man and on e woman, as she is bound to regale many eyes who look upon her.

The Problems Single Mothers Face

Single moms face a larger number of problems than the average person. Here is a list of just some of the battles they face:

Less Free Time - Between working, taking care of the kids, and holding down the home-front, single moms rarely get any me time. This can lead to excess levels of stress, with no outlet to vent their frustrations. They may also start to feel disconnected from their peers, and unable to connect with others who aren't in the same situation. This can lead to feelings of isolation and depression.

Less Disposable Income - Only having one income to rely on can create a very shaky existence. This is especially true if a woman has grown to rely on her husbands income, and now only receives a child support check. Many times the child support that is awarded in the courts is a fraction of what the husband was previously contributing to the running of the household.

Daycare Worries - Most single mothers find themselves holding down at least one job in order to make ends meet. This means that someone must watch the kid or kids in order for her to go to work. While this leads to a classic catch 22 of working to pay for day care, there is seldom another option. Sometimes a grandparent or other family member can fill in and reduce costs, but most times it's a mom's last resort to put her kids in day care.

Trouble on the Dating Scene - The stigma surrounding single mothers is hard to overcome for many women. Men are known to avoid women with children, not wanting to get involved in a complicated situation. While of course it's not impossible for a singe mom to find love, the deck is stacked against her.

Divorce-Related Problems - If the divorce was a messy one single moms also have to deal with attorney's fees and child support issues. Some fathers fight for the custody of their children in order to reduce or eliminate child support payments. If this happens a single mom has to prove that she's the best caretaker for the children, and that she deserves the child support amount she's requesting.

Single moms have it rough, there's no doubt about that. But society holds a soft spot in its heart for single moms that try their best. Many human interest stories revolve around super human single mothers that can somehow manage to overcome all odds. Those that provide a decent life for their kids and have them grow up to be model citizens as adults are always commended. It's important to realize that the situation never defines the person. It's always the other way around.

Vivienne Westwood is a co-founder of one of the most amazing product lines

Of 2010 and I am sure its name will ring a bell for you. "Punk Style "and If I know one thing, her reputation is internationally known.

The women has been working on her God given talent sense the 1950's when she first made her very own customized school uniform using those old pencil skirts and that could be a challenge in those days "let me tell ya".

Some of her more common styles were inspired by punk rock legends "the sex pistols" who wrote the way for the punk rock community and inspired a popular trend still seen in today's times.

If you can see the passion that this women has when it comes to her design schemes; then you will have a much more clear picture of what she could do for your hand bag. What to Look For in a Purse While Meeting Your Needs and Budget

If you are a lady, you know you can't have too many handbags or purses. You can get very small glamorous clutch bags to serviceable larger bags to carry everything. The most important thing is making sure you have the right purse to carry all those essentials that we just can't live without!

In my option, the best purses have LOTS of separate compartments. For the very small tube of lipstick to the large pocket to hold you day planner and now a special outside pocket to hold your cell phone. Purses come in a variety of styles-over the shoulder with single or double strap, longer strapped bags that are carried over the opposite shoulder, bags with single or double handles to carry in your hand or even the very tiny bag that will only hold a "hankie".

Purses can be made of a variety of material too. Quality leather handbags will last a long time and give you great looks. A good leather bag is soft and supple. With good cleaning and proper maintenance the leather bags will serve well and maintain longevity. A good leather handbag is very suitable for everyday use. You can take it comfortably to the shopping mall, a trip into the country, a friend's house or out on the town for an evening event. Leather is durable and strong. The scratches or wear and tear on a leather bag will only enhance its appearance over the years. It will make your bag uniquely your own!

Bags can be made of high quality canvas with leather highlights. Many canvas bags are lined with a good quality cotton material to ensure the inside stays clean and serviceable. The canvas bag might be just the bag to take to the beach or to the county fair. Make sure its large enough to carry all the essentials you need for that day out.

Everyone knows that the right handbag will make an outfit. The right color will just make that outfit "pop"! The fun part of shopping for the "perfect" handbag is that it can take a lot of time and thought. And what's more fun that thinking about purses? The satisfaction from all that time will be so rewarding when everything just looks right. Your handbag is an important accessory so feel free to take you time, get the correct style and color and enjoy your new handbag.

What to Wear to the Office

For working women, attire has undergone a drastic change in the modern day. Clothes are extension of one's personality, and play a very significant role when it comes to making first impressions. Your attire, therefore, must always be suited for your job. Even the most decent and elegant attire can look out of place at times. So, take care that you don't look odd. Here are a few useful tips.

Going out to the office in something that's a little too fashionable would only attract undue attention and also criticism in hushed voices. So, avoid wearing something too trendy, which does not mean you need to carry the dullest colors to office.

Follow the middle path and don something that looks decently colorful without looking flashy. All floral wear must stay in the wardrobe for other occasions. Plain clothes in good color would suffice. Go for minimal design and soft colours.

If you are fond of wearing some kind of jewelery, make sure that they are in consonance with your dress. What you wear must only make you look good, but at the same time should not be distracting because that could be counterproductive to work.

Footwear is as important as the rest of you dress because you cannot afford to have your impression spoilt if one decides to look down at your feet. Choose something that is stylish without being flashy. Those pencil heels may not be the thing for you, if you are not very comfortable in them. If it is style and comfort that you have to choose between, go for comfort because that matters the most on a work day.

Of course, these are very basic tips, but they have stood the test of time. A woman is the epitome of elegance and there is no reason why your elegance must not go with you to office. So, dress well, hold yourself up confidently, and you would see success kiss your feet, so to speak.

Where Were the Women While History Was Created?

I took a new turn on my pathway of spiritual growth and development when I became aware of the National Women's History Project and their goal to write women back into history. It was a surprise turn, one that I didn't see coming. It is one that will be taking me to new places internally and externally. Discovering the National Women's History Project caused me to hit my pause button and take stock of my ignorance about women's history. I realized that most of my role models from history had been men. I don't feel there was anything wrong with that as I learned and emulated many helpful characteristics. However, I realized that I also bought into the cultural beliefs about the inferiority of women. I was appalled by the realization that unconsciously I had accepted many of the negative cultural beliefs about females that I had grown up with even when I rebelled against them.

I remembered a conversation with my stepfather when I was a teenager and I told him I wanted to go to college. He said, "College is a waste for girls because they grow up and get married and have babies." I remember a sinking feeling in my stomach. It was not only what he said but how he said it. It was an unquestionable truth for him. Unknowingly I accepted it. I didn't realize this until years later when I got my Bachelor's Degree after struggling for 10 years. My Master's only took 18 months.

What made finding the Women's History Project so triggering for me? It brought to my awareness how in believing I was less than a man I have driven myself trying to be good enough. It may be the 21st century but the state of women world-wide continues to need improvement. I believe women have to stop waiting for permission to express our genius and creativity in partnership with those who are working to better the lives women and children.

I believe we need a different kind of role model for our girls, teenagers, and young women than I see in the media. They are preoccupied with how they look and what they have rather than their creative genius and compassion. The Women's History Project offers real-life women's stories. Yes, we had some 'honorable mentions' in our history books but they don't begin to show what women were and are doing. These women who were not written into our history books were women who changed our world for the better against difficult odds. They were mothers and wives who still contributed to social change and the betterment of life for others.

Their stories were not valued enough to be put into our history books. They are true heroines. Their stories are inspirational. Learning about them have provided me with a greater sense of value and worth for myself and my possibilities. Their stories are our stories. Ones we can stand on, draw strength from and motivate ourselves to take more positive actions. We have a world crying out for what women naturally bring to the table. Our fears keep us from taking action.

The thinking that got us into the problems we are experiencing is not the same thinking that will find solutions. The relational thinking of women can offer much to finding these solutions. But women need to step up and make ourselves heard from a love-based partnership living way. We need to be as courageous as those who stand behind us.

To learn more about the National Women's History Project and Writing Women Back Into History go to www.nwhp.org. National Women's History Month is coming up in March. The theme is Our History is Our Strength. You will learn about Wendy Abrams, Founder and President of Cool Globes, Lupe Anguiano, Protector of the Earth and Activist for the Poor, Virginia Apgar graduated in 1933 from Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons, Roswitha Augusta, film maker, Mollie Beattie, first women to head the US Fish & Wildlife Service, and Arlene Blum bio-physical chemist, mountaineer and environmentalist and many, many more.

Learning about these women has given me a new foundation of pride in who I am as a woman and what I can be and do in this life. These are my sisters whose sacrifices and accomplishments had been lost to me. Now they are found and I have a new community of role models. They need to be shared.

Women and Power: An Uncomfortable Pas De Deux

"Power is neither male nor female." ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I've been a "feminist" since the early 70s (back when it wasn't a dirty word or something many mainstream women backed away from endorsing out of fear they'd be cast as some power mad, man-hating, dare I say "bi..." (okay, I didn't say it). Despite this one constant in my life however, I admit to engaging in a decades-long struggle with my own authentic power.

By authentic power, I mean the kind of power that is expanding and inclusive; the kind that enables us to stand up for ourselves and what we want in a way that isn't hostile, inflammatory or aggressive. The truth is, many women - even those women executives in high-level positions who are used to being in leadership positions - aren't in touch with their real power. We shy away from it. Try to deny it. It feels uncomfortable, like an itchy sweater that's too tight around the middle.

You Lead, I'll Follow?

Power has a masculine energy. At least that's what we've been conditioned to believe. As such, male executives seem to have a lot more comfort around the notion of power, whereas women executives pull away from even the word itself. In reality, though, authentic power is a neutral energy - it's not masculine or feminine. Authentic power isn't physical - it's not about exerting pressure or force. It's more about opening up and being comfortable with the full force of who you are: your talents, your skills, your intelligence, and your uniqueness.

Kathryn Kolbert, Director of the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College concurs and writes: "Part of the problem stems from the fact that many women are uncomfortable with power...In some cases women handle...[it] differently than many of their male colleagues. When it comes to power, many men come at their work believing they are equipped to handle power. So they are more likely to volunteer for tough assignments and leadership roles. Many women have a more ambivalent relationship to power and often wait to be asked, whether for a move into a top job or, in the public sphere, to make a run for office."

All this discomfort with what authentic power really means, coupled with the vestiges of discrimination and the responsibility for child and family caretaking historically being the purview of women, makes it difficult for women executives to climb to leadership positions in both the private and public sector.

Who's Wearing the Pants in this Relationship Anyway?

In addition, we have to contend with the whole issue of what a powerful leader really looks and acts like. Thankfully, women executives have moved past the "men in skirts" era, when the answer seemed to be imitating the traits of male leaders. In her recent article, Power, Ambition, Money, Failure: Confronting Career Taboos, Kolbert contends that: "Today, research into leadership is moving beyond the traditional masculine-hierarchical models. Scholars are now exploring the possibility that many women (and some men) have different leadership styles, from a more democratic approach to greater optimism, and a focus on empowering followers rather than commanding them. And scholars in numerous fields are beginning to demonstrate how biases in documenting women's potential for leadership hinder the advancement of women as well as the organizations that might benefit from women's contributions."

As business women, when we are comfortable in our own power we are able to acknowledge our goals; we're able to take ownership of our desire for financial success; our drive and ambition, and even - especially - our failures. I don't believe we're there yet. But we should be. And the only way to get there is to be honest about our discomfort and start communicating with each other about ways to honor our unique and powerful gifts.

Womens Fur Boots - A Touch of Unfussy Class on Its Own

Searching for the appropriate women's fur boots should not be too much of a problem. From authentic to faux fur boots, they are everywhere lining designer stores and boutique shelves. If you are hankering for both genuine and faux boots, you will find them in any price range meaning that there are abundant options for you to choose from. You can get them expensive or whatever fits your budget.

When it comes to shopping for shoes, women appear to become natural and impulsive experts. Women's boots are all the rage since they can stand as fashion accessories all on their own. They are lovely to look at which emanates an unfussy but cool vibe, at the same time bringing forth a touch of class and style to any outfit. Whether you are decked in long and short dresses, formal suits, and casual jeans, women's boots just simply make a statement.

Materials and costs

Women's boots are available in an assortment of fabrics and materials which includes suede, leather, sheepskin, plastic, nubuck, or any other man-crafted faux materials. The price of the boots depend entirely on the manufacturer or designer, the materials they are created from, and the designs and styles while looking at its durability and functionality. In fact, faux fur boots can be just as pricey as authentic fur boots. A pair of faux boots crafted from patent leather can have the similar price of genuine women's boots created of plastic materials. Where you buy them also adds up to the pricing range.

In looking at both real and faux boots, you will rifle through piles of colors and styles. Boots made with real fur are limited in color since it is limited to some degree of the fur's color etched on the boot. However, it should merge with the material's color for the foremost part of the boot. For instance, black leather boots will enable you to use any fur color accent but red leather boots have color limitations.

Foot considerations

In scoring womens fur boots, ensure that you get the perfect fit for your soles. Proper boot size is important which goes a tad different from your typical shoe size. To guarantee a good match and fit, women should measure the height and width of her tootsies. When in doubt, give customer services a ring and discuss about the sizing. They should be able to return the call within a one day period. If you are in conflict between sizes, check the size and make extra room for thick socks or if your foot is still growing, especially for teens.

Be in style

The very first thing that women are concerned about is selecting fur boots that are in style. Many women's boots create a fashion impact to the wearer. It just depends on whether the boots complement the wardrobe you are decked in. Wearing fur boots certainly adds appeal to women who are wearing them. They are great outdoors as well since some fur boots are designed to be waterproof. Women's fur boots have come a long way and it goes to show that they are more of a fashion necessity other than a fading shoe fad.

Rape - Understanding the Five Rules

Women often find themselves in precarious conditions because they are unaware of or oblivious to the rules of conduct and situation from the male perspective. Women even in the most positive sense take up the role of the victim too readily, easily and far too often. It seems that women are often not ready to make the commitment to changing their thinking, habits, self destructive lifestyles, and ideas about modesty. All men are potential rapists therefore women must be able to distinguish men according to fact and circumstances rather than feelings and delusions.

This is where the "Five Rules" come in to protect women not just from men but from their own misconceptions and fears. Rapes just don't happen as a rule there is premeditation involved from the male point of view and often considerable logical thought. Being a man the natural inclination is to treat other men (especially those unknown) with a definite degree of mutual caution if not suspicion, although commonly men share the threat of mutual destruction if violence ensues. Women do not have the protection of mutual aggression, strength and the assured possibly devastating retaliation. Men do not have fear of women and males of other species from chimpanzees to dogs can identify women as female, rank them as dominate or non dominate and threaten them accordingly.

However with human males they are much more cautious because they know they can never be sure of the outcome. With this in mind, I have developed Five Rules that if followed could serve any woman in any society quite well if taken seriously.

1. Wild Kingdom Rules
Men consciously or unconsciously are able view women in a way women do not perceive. For rough example a panther, leopard or any big cat watches the landscape from a high place or the shadows and learns the habits routine and movements of its prey. It logically uses this information to stalk, herd, ambush, and ultimately attack its prey, while the prey almost always stays in reactive mode rather that a proactive one. The prey's defense is to be alert, panic and to flee but even this has a predictable pattern and the big cats count on this because they are often fed by it. Women must assume they are being watched especially when they have no apparent male companion or relatives that are frequently visible. Profiles on serial rapist bear out the fact that the most dangerous men are not men of other social economic, racial, or cultural groups, but rather the men that seem to fit in from the victims own race, economic strata and cultural settings. These are the men women look at but don't see (hiding in plain sight using the best camouflage of all) because society has trained them not to. Nice upscale gated community may not just be locking the undesirables out but locking potential victims in with the real sex criminals. Assume the men in the neighborhood, on the street, at the job, clubs, sports events etc. know a lot more about local women than they think. Today's new casual male friend, sports partner, or associate could be tomorrows date rapist or nighttime intruder. The clean cut very socially acceptable men can be the ones with the most skeletons in their dark mental closets, and the criminal animal mind can be shockingly logical. Do not jog or walk alone especially in deserted or semi deserted places like wooded areas, roads, parks, alley ways, bike paths etc. and never at dawn, dusk or after dark. There have been instances of mountain lions attacking or even killing women in secluded locations and they don't have the advantages of a human brain as men evidently do.

2. Prison Sex Rules
An office, a hotel, a park, a mall parking lot, a parking garage or entire city can be a prison because men are nearby and women know nothing of their true intent. Women must mentally function the way a man would if incarcerated, be aware, be cautious, be armed if possible (a key, a pen or pencil, a magazine, etc. are all weapons of opportunity if used correctly) "soap on a rope" can do a lot of damage to a human being in or out of the showers and they won't see it coming. The point is not to have sex with anyone because sex and violence have no distinction in a confined environment and men recognize the predatory nature and tendency of man. Don't assume anyone is a friend and never smile. Don't do favors for anyone. Don't accept gifts even small ones from any man (candy, cigarettes, money etc). Remember yes means "yes" maybe means "yes" and most important "no" means "yes" to "sex" in any conversation no matter what the weaker parties intent or the conversational context. Never show fear rather be stoic or show aggression stay as quiet and detached as possible, quiet people are hard to fathom and unpredictable when under attack. Know your escape routes, never turn your back; if you have to flee use your head stay lucid and a fighting retreat can spoil the plans and aggression of an attacker. Last of all prepare yourself to mentally deal with the possibility of gang rape. If men use violence against men in the form of rape in prison then certainly it will be used against weaker and often less savvy women.

3. Cover-up Rules
A woman's best preventative defense is to recover from her mis-education and indoctrination that presents women as sex objects to sell everything from cars to toothpaste. Women put more clothes on for protection to mask the female shape which prevents men from imprinting. When a man sees a woman in a state of undress (and this does not mean she is naked but dressed too scantly) men make assumptions the woman is loose or less worthy of respect. Nuns, Muslim women that cover, and modestly dressed women are treated differently, with more respect and are much less likely to be molested verbally or otherwise by men. Many men control their desires and curiosity when it comes to women but this is not necessarily the rule. A woman displayed in public can incite lust and bad behavior in men the same way a gun brandished in public incites fear and uncertainty. It is not hard to see women that are wearing garments that are too tight, see through, too shear, too small or too short chafe at unwanted male attentions that range from hard stares, cat calls, whistles, to blocking her path and touching. Not to mention men that are seen with women dressed like this don't exactly garner the respect of other men. Men in authority from bosses to policemen are men too and certainly capable of committing heinous crimes against women, so don't be fooled. There are many beautiful types of apparel available for women to look smart while being covered. Men that see women covered are more likely to offer a modicum of respect and keep their distance if nothing else and those with bad intentions are more likely to choose another female victim less dressed. There is no death penalty for rape in most western countries and the burden of proof is on the woman so if nothing else, more clothes will make it at least more difficult for any attacker. How conservative a woman dresses can make her a much smaller target of opportunity.

4. Lifestyle Rules
Drugs, alcohol, questionable locations and late hours open up so many opportunities for rape one hardly knows where to begin. Women seen in this frame work are in serious trouble no matter how many times they have lived through it without incident it only has to go wrong once. Women that have decided to be drug addicts alcoholics prostitutes, or just happen to live on the streets tend to instinctively know rape is a definite part in their world. Rape leaves them with survival skills, STD's, PTSD, and another filthy memory awash in a sea of substance abuse, poverty and fear. However no one prepares or warns the new female recruit fresh from home about the military services which are more dangerous rape and sexual assault wise than any dark street corner or alleyway. The news contains a litany of articles and stories about females being sexually mis-treated while in the military but the general public only seems to turn a blind eye when confronted with this disturbing truth. Media sources remain relatively mute when the subject of rape is mentioned in conjunction with the military. Instead the focus is on "don't ask don't tell" when in reality the spotlight needs to be on female rights and safety in the military and the phase should be "don't tell don't ask" because this is the real "defacto" policy of the military. Male soldiers are directly or indirectly responsible for more female enlisted deaths injuries and attacks than the Taliban or the so called Al Qaeda combined. The families of the female enlisted victims cannot seem to get true and correct information from the military let alone consistent actual arrests and convictions. Therefore the military is a very hazardous lifestyle choice for any woman, in fact more dangerous than being on the streets doing drugs and alcohol. Choose a lifestyle after careful consideration but never assumed that even lifestyles of the norm are safe.

5. Combat Rules
Violence is something to be avoided at all cost, unless the cost is your right to your own personal physical and mental well being. For a woman facing a serious threat from a man or men bent on the violence of rape the play book of human kindness immediately goes out the window. In fact she will find that her best savior is herself and this will require conviction and commitment. Even the most fearful woman must dig down deep to find the where with all to do what she must, "survive"! The women of Bosnia, Chechnya, Darfur, Kashmir, Rwanda, Uganda, and thousands of rape victims in the USA can tell about the horrors of being in a rape situation and how they wish they could have avoided being a victim if only they could have defended themselves. Women often first respond to an impending attack with fear and indecision this conveniently paralyzes them at the most crucial moment. At that moment a woman must react by doing what the attacker least expects commit to combat "hit harder faster more often and hit him first"! Of course sharp contact with vital sensitive areas of the male anatomy can have the added beneficial effect of making any male attacker unable to perform or perpetuate an attack. This is something that is not hard to do regardless of height weight or strength but women are almost never taught this. I urge all women take a few hours learn some form of self defense get use to the feeling of combat and how to keep yourself calm and thinking during it, because attackers tend to be careless, arrogant and make a lot of mistakes. A little preparation and a lot of conviction to self preservation are better than a million hours of post rape counseling; counsel yourself to "win" before it ever happens!

She-Conomy - Social Media Marketing To Women - Moms Are Not 'Just' Moms

Lauren B. Botney has been a practicing business attorney and professional coach for more than 2 decades. Becoming a parent later in life caused her ...

It's no secret that women comprise a power sector in the economy. Numerous marketers profess to have the secret knowledge about what drives women's purchases and how to speak properly to attract the 'she-conomy.'

If you are a female social media marketer, you have the insider's advantage. You know that women do not respond to anything the same way a male does. It's just a fact of nature. Women are not simply moms because they have children. Their entire beings react differently.
Despite the hype seen in the marketplace, the way to speak to a female audience starts with being who you are, a female entrepreneur. Because you understand what women want, you can build a special relationship with your audience and they can build a special relationship with you.

What do women want?

Honesty. Women are detail oriented. That trait is part of survival mode, embedded from childhood. Despite social revolution, the premier global focus is on women as mothers and homemakers, even though, of course, they are capable of so much more. Women are not merely the 'pink' brand. Women want to know who you are, what you stand for, what makes you tick, in truth. If you are honest about who you are and your motivations, chances are something in your life story is going to resonate, deeply, with another women. That's how women bond.

Connection. Women are loyal. We return to a reputable product or vendor once we are familiar with it/them and appreciate their value to us. Dismiss us and we are outta here! Fast! Women don't have time for drama, despite what "Desperate Housewives" might have you believe. Relate to women's experiences with empathy. That is the key to building a meaningful bond.

Information. Women are careful and informed buyers. Especially at the beginning, you can expect today's women to shop and around and do her research. You will be expected to answer thoughtful questions. In some cases, the inquiring woman might already know the answers. She is testing you to see if you know the answers. Her commitment to you, once made, is valuable and will stand the test of time. Therefore, it has to be real.

Impulse buying might work in the lipstick aisle but not for a major investment. Once the loyalty is established, based on providing solid information over time--patiently delivered--you will create a relationship that will have your new client telling her friends about you.

Women share with their friends. You want to become valuable enough to be the topic of shared conversation.
Revisiting the specialty aspects of women entrepreneurs in black and white should help focus your strategies to this audience.

Women are a powerful force in the she-conomy. If you reflect upon it and use your insider information to advantage, you can build the social media relationships that get women talking.
This is the conversation that you want for your internet marketing business-both online and off.

Social Networking Mompreneurs - Balancing All The Jobs Of A Stay At Home Mom

Per a recent Slate article, Dutch women have cracked the 'secret' work-life-balance code. This code is the holy grail for social networking mompreneurs. These moms want to know how to balance all the jobs of a stay at home mom. For some reasons, that subject was not included in the traditional school curriculum, even for those who actually listened during home-ec.

According to Slate, Dutch women have the best of all worlds. They are happier, better adjusted women who "work half days, meet their friends for coffee at 2 pm. and pity their male colleagues who are stuck in the office all day."

I fall into the same category as the Dutch male colleagues. I work at home but keep my eye on the tiger; I know my children are priority one and make decisions around what I believe is best for them. Ergo, my work schedule starts before I wake the kids, breaks for getting them off to school and resumes as soon as the oldest one leaves for the bus.

What do Dutch women know that the rest of us don't? Is it possible for a dedicated mompreneur to have it all or is it an impossible dream?

In the U.S., if you want a regular paycheck, you work. The Dutch mindset is wired differently. Dutch women, their partners and their employers are satisfied with the culture accepting a part-time female work schedule. In 2000, they passed a law allowing women to cut back on their work hours without invoking negative employer consequences.

The American expectation doesn't embrace what the Dutch take for granted. American women are expected to do it all.

For women who have chosen to work outside the home, this hard reality persists. Hiring employers want to see a driven, dedicated job candidate. Asking for occasional days off is taboo.

Because many dedicated moms, particularly single moms, cannot live with this schedule, they pursue other choices.

Working at home, particularly online, has provided an answer. Mompreneurs are taking their businesses online in unprecedented numbers.

Jill Strahan, founder of Tastefully Simple, affirms the gospel for the working mom: "When we say yes to something, we say no to something else... It all comes down to... making very intentional choices."
Intentional choices achieve balance for all the jobs of a stay at home mom. In the world of online business, mompreneurs can make their intentional choices flex and do it all. It is possible to earn a solid paycheck and be an involved parent.

Social media and technology have opened doors for the mompreneur that makes the choices easier to make. The internet has cracked the code for American women.
It might be nice, someday, for the American culture to place a higher value on parenting (another subject for another day). In the meantime, the social networking mompreneur can make choices to balance all the jobs of being a stay at home mom-with finesse and a solid paycheck.

Mompreneurs! Master social networking skills and balance all the jobs of a stay at home mom according to the choices you make. It is not an impossible dream. Click on the link, fill out the box and get immediate, free access to video trainings, especially #2 and #3, that will get you started achieving lifestyle balance now.

Sororities and Rights of Passage Pondered

One topic that has always been the intrigue of men is Sororities, perhaps because there are secrets lurking from within, thus making it so interesting a subject. We've all heard about the pledges, and what it takes to join, and many Hollywood Movies have focused on what goes on inside those doors on campus. Obviously, these movies accentuate the petty politics known to all organizations, along with the sexual exploits that may or may not be the reality of such.

Nevertheless, there is much more to this story, and in case you'd like to know, perhaps, I might very much recommend a very good book to you. I briefly scanned through it recently, and found it quite fascinating, and although I was not overwhelmed with surprise, I was able to learn a few things. If you are a man who wants to know, I recommend this book. And if you are a woman, who is thinking of joining or has never been a member, there are things in this book you too should realize. The name of this book is:
"Pledged - The Secret Life of Sororities" by Alexandra Robbins, Hyperion Books, New York, NY, (2004), 372 pages, ISBN: 1-4013-0046-4.

Although the author of this book admits she was never a sorority gal herself, her totally in-depth research goes well beyond that minor inconvenience. The author talks about breast size rankings, naked party traditions, and in this expose there are stories of binge drinking, mind games, prostitution, loyalty, and drug abuse. After reading this, I can say I certainly wouldn't want my daughter in such a group.

The stories in this book are fascinating, and troubling, most of all interesting, and thus, like I said, I'd recommend this book to you if you are considering joining a sorority, or if you've always wondered what really goes on there. Please consider all this.

The Best Vitamins For Women Over 40 And What Essential Things You Need To Know About It

For any woman approaching middle age, knowing the appropriate vitamins for women over 40 is very important to enable her to live her life to the fullest. Isn't it that life begins at 40? The years between 40 and 50 can indeed be the most fun, but this is also the decade when one would face so many challenges. You could be at the peak of your career at this time, and yet you could also be battling stress while trying to juggle work and family life, hormonal imbalances, and the threat of growing old, all of which could affect the way you live your life.

Along with keeping a healthy lifestyle, you need to take the appropriate vitamins for women over 40. At 40, the need to take supplements is very much encouraged, but apparently, you just cannot take anything out of your own choosing or those vitamins that are heavily advertised because these may not be what are recommended for your age. All vitamins are good for the body, but there are those that would be more ideal to a specific age group.

For the forty-ish, for instance, Vitamins C and E in the right doses would have more value. These vitamins are very good antioxidants that, according to studies, may decrease the risks for cervical cancer and ovarian cancer. The B-vitamins would also be highly beneficial to women 40 and up as these, too, have been shown to act on the colon and breast cancer cells. The incidence of these types of cancer is greater in women in their 40s, possibly due to some hormonal changes that happen at this time. These vitamins with antioxidant properties can also make you look younger than you really are. This is because antioxidants work to fight off the free radicals that accelerate the ageing process. Free radicals can invade the body through stress, pollution, and foods, but antioxidants can lessen the impact of these.

The roles of Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, and Vitamin K will be greatly appreciated by women in their 40s. Vitamin A targets the immune system and keeps the eyes healthy; Vitamin E is a beauty vitamin that is necessary for the health of the hair and the skin; Vitamin D improves the absorption of calcium in the body, thereby crucial in the maintenance of bone health, while vitamin K is necessary in blood clotting and blood formation.

Aside from these vitamins, women should also have a healthy dose of minerals, especially calcium which is responsible in bone development and bone health, and magnesium, which works well with calcium and relieves some of the discomforts associated with perimenopause. Zinc, too, should be included in the list of essential minerals as this helps in regulating hormonal imbalances.

The Burkha or Hijab, What It Represents

All over the world it is not uncommon to see Moslem women in large numbers travelling by bus and train wearing a black cloak that leaves only the face or the eyes visible. The entire body is covered in a shroud and is distinctive attire that will arrest the eyes of any onlooker. This is dress peculiar to Moslem women and is referred to as the 'Burkha' or the Hijab lot many do not also wear it, as it is not compulsory like in India, but in orthodox Moslem nations like Saudi Arabia wearing the Hijab is mandatory and there is no choice in the matter.

Attention on the Burkha has been riveted after the French Assembly banned it in France, as they consider it a form of subjugation of the woman. Moslem clerics there have up held the ban. This banning of the Burkha in public places in France, which is championed by the French President himself has brought the focus on this dress and the world has started taking note of this form of dress. However it must be pointed out wearing of the Burkha is not mandatory. Islam only mentions that women be dressed soberly and not show themselves. The Burkha is an invention of the hard line Moslem clerics.

Recently I had a date with a Moslem girl friend. Earlier she never wore the Burkha, but this time she came with a Burkha on. On my questioning her as to why she had worn it, she replied that it was not a constraint and all she wanted to do was emphasize her identity as a Moslem. As an educated lady she felt it was a symbol of her freedom as well as a mark of identity, and for that reason she liked to wear it. The Burkha is a matter in real terms to be left to the individual girl or woman. Though the security agencies have some apprehension of its use by terrorists as a decoy, yet it is really a harmless piece of clothing. It certainly is a statement of a separate identity and a lot many women will voluntarily wear it.

The Burkha however has become part of politics with hardliners on both sides having divergent views. Some visualize it as mark of subjugation while others say it is a mark of individuality. Many European nations are moving ahead to ban the Burkha in the public place. Maybe they have a point, but in India it thrives and is a mark of identity and many women wear it. It cannot be wished away.

The Importance of Perfume to a Woman

Any woman who wants to attain a higher level of style and fashion should actually use perfume since it adds to her sophistication and so should men too. Everyone appreciates the nice smell of perfume on people be they male or female.

Women especially, go for one favorite perfume which they must wear and become part of their dressing. It is recommended to mix different aromas to come up with a unique one. Here are some hints on selected favorites for women.

Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely perfume takes the center stage when it comes to women's perfumes that are practically timeless. The greatest puller is Armani's Aqua di Gio, also for ladies.
Armani's as a company is big in fashion and perfumes for both the women and men alike.
Most ladies have heard of or even used Armani Code which is perfect for them. It has a bit of ginger, orange, wood and a subtle of honey that is detected in every spray.

The ladies who have used Lacome's Attractio know what a great perfume it is when you want to get pleasant comments from everyone. The most well known for its luxurious aroma is the Euphoria whose perfume can simply take away your breath. In its versatility, it is very similar to Vera Wang's Flower Princess. This classical perfume smells of citric and flowers. More mature women love Eternity whereas Liz Claiborne's Curve Kicks is preferred by the younger ones.

Opium is the unforgettable oriental sophistication but remember Lacoste's Touch of Pink too which is for the fresh and energetic ladies.

All these perfumes mentioned here can provide many options for you to get one that is just perfect for your needs. All you need is to first identify what your requirements are according to the kind of person you are and you will make a perfect choice to wow everybody.

The Most Essential Vitamins For Women Over 50 That Will Keep You Healthy and Strong

You might be wondering if there are vitamins for women over 50. If truth be told, there are vitamins for women for every age group, literally. This is because women's needs change as they grow older. What one used to take during childhood may no longer be very effective or of prime importance when one gets older.
For instance, two of the most usual concerns of parents are their children's poor appetite and the lack of height that could invite ridicule. These issues could be very well addressed by taking vitamins that consist of chlorella growth factor and appetite stimulants. But, quite certainly at age 50 and beyond, you couldn't be thinking of increasing your height or improving your appetite anymore, could you? Having already reached middle age, you must have other health concerns that need to be met immediately.

At 50, you would be more concerned about ageing gracefully, heart health and bone health. You would also be looking for ways to improve your defenses against sickness. The most essential minerals and vitamins for women over 50 in this case would include calcium, magnesium, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, and Omega-3 fatty acids.

Women from 50 and up need a lot of calcium and magnesium to keep their bones healthy and strong. Everybody knows that around this time, the bones lose some of their strength, thus even the mildest trips or falls can already result to fractures. Women must have these minerals in sufficient amounts (ideally between 500 mg and 1000 mg a day) to reduce their risk for osteoporosis, too, which as fate would have it, occurs more frequently in women.

Yet for these essential minerals to be effectively absorbed by the body, Vitamin D is needed. Vitamin D also has powerful antioxidant properties that help fight the free radicals that are invading the body. As such, Vitamin D is seen to play a major role in delaying the ageing process. There are not many food sources of Vitamin D, unfortunately, but there are Vitamin D supplements that can meet your daily requirements.

There is a greater need for Vitamin C when you are already in the prime years. This is because your immunity to diseases at this stage is not as good as it has once been. You would need around 1000 mg of Vitamin C daily to increase your defenses, enabling you to better fight off common colds and illnesses.

Also commonly appearing in women aged 50 and above are heart problems. This is the stage when the chances of developing hypertension, high bad cholesterol levels in the blood, and atherosclerosis are greater. While these are common, these nonetheless should be given a lot of attention as any of these can complicate into a serious heart ailment. To improve heart health, taking Omega-3 fatty acids is highly recommended, although caution still has to be exercised when deciding to take Omega-3 fatty acid supplements or fish oil supplements.

The Power of Nudity and Fashion in Women

Let me start by defining nudity as it is expressed in the Merriam Webster Dictionary as being devoid of a natural or conventional covering especially not covered by clothing. The act of going nude is born out of fashion. At this point I would like to bring to the fore certain shifts from fashion to nudism. The reader before this generation entered both the jet and information age, women have been seen with creatively sown clothing of all types.

Some of which are so interesting and appealing to behold; on the other hand acceptable. It is a truism to state without equivocation that it is crave for fashion that led women to dress and appear nude. Nudism which is practiced by the female folk all over the world existed through the evolution of fashion. It is against this backdrop that intellectuals captured it as the practice of going nude especially in sexually mixed groups. The so called evolutionary trend in fashion industry now led to go almost naked is something to be contended with.
Today, it has become a norm and socially accepted to dress anyway you like. It has been adopted without asking what the implications are. What are the effects to the society? The focus of this write-up revolves around the above questions and how to go about resolving this societal madness. Our women new fashion glamour is only intended for distraction to the opposite sex. In the days past women concentrate on whatever she lays her hand on. But today on seeing rudely dressed lady, her focus shifts to thinking on how to be the one wearing such bombshell called mini-skirt, body hug, tight jeans etc.

Consequently, this has brought in its wake girl-child rape, extensive spread of the almighty virus termed Human Immune Virus (HIV). Our society witnesses high rate of armed robbery, get rich quick syndrome, ritual killings to mention but a few. It is not only the issue of economic down-turn that makes the masses to suffer but on the contrary we have refused to put our priority right. The builders of our homes insist on joining the bandwagon of latest clothing seen in the market today. They have crossed the Rubicon as it concerns dressing modestly. In the female world, it is either you dress showing your private part or you are not in tune with modernity craze for nakedness of evil intention.

The Purse Organizer That's Just Right for You

Most of us lay claim to more than one purse, in more than one design and size. Some of us even change purses to complement the day's outfit, and then change again in the evening according to the formality required by the occasion. A day trip through the woods, for instance, might suggest one of your larger bags. For those who carry their lives in their handbags (thinking of you, Goldilocks!), this presents a gigantic problem - switching back and forth between bags all your fundamentals - schedule book, glasses, sun screen, lip gloss, cell phone, library book, hand lotions, hair brush, wallet, water bottle, umbrella, and basket of cookies for Grandma.

And if that weren't enough to straighten your blond ringlets, all those mandatory items should never be simply tossed from bag to bag, for what good are they if you can't find them quickly? Your goodies must be readily available - in other words, organized - and that chore is next to impossible in purses that lack plenty of separate pockets. Personally, how many purses do you own that have enough pockets? You need that stuff when you need it - such as when your cell phone rings, and it very well could be the Big Bad Wolf calling!
Seldom do we ever look upon perfection, but there truly is a solution that's just right for this double problem. The Kangaroo Keeper is a purse organizing insert that enables you to switch purses without a second thought and to quickly put your hand on any of your belongings - first try, without fail.

Kangaroo Keeper has a compartment exactly right for a bottle of water or a soda can, and another one especially for an umbrella. In fact, each of up to 70 of your absolute essentials can have a home in its own, just right pocket, leaving the large center area of the Kangaroo Keeper for your wallet, cookies and other large items.

Even more features contribute to the just-rightness of the Kangaroo Keeper. For instance, this life-saving organizer is reversible, so you can face the pockets outward and leave more storage space in the middle of your bag; it's versatile - available in two sizes (not too big and not too small) and in two different colors (just right!); it's extremely affordable, with a buy one, get one free offer; and it's the perfect gift for every woman on your holiday gift list! Grandma and Mama Bear come to mind, don't they?

The Scarred Feminine Spirit Of The Earth

I for one believe in re-incarnation, I believe that we are all men and women in past lives and carry these experiences with us in our subconscious where they shape our identity and how we feel about things etc.
When I think about what it would be like to be a woman in this world, it makes me sad and frustrated and a little hopeless.

Historically there has been a tremendous putting down of the female spirit. People will tell you that ever since Eve gave Adam the apple in the garden that the woman has been punished by God.
Even nowadays in many cultures, such as the Hispanic, Arabic, Asian, and even to a certain extent European and African cultures...basically every culture on the world except the more "modern" countries has an extreme prejudice against women.

I was sent this message today (the sender wishes to remain anonymous) on YouTube in response to a documentary I made about Lemuria:
"Herodotus said there was a throne where the capstone was supposed to be. I felt/feel that the pyramid was built as a monument to woman. Only a woman can bring life into the world. A man can NEVER value life like a woman. Isis, Iset (so many name changes), was the first ruler of men. (Isis was represented by the throne, right?)"

The first war was was on our WOMEN.
Women are NOT supposed to be small. Women are our equals. After the collapse of the reign of women, came the religions, and monies. Both a form of slavery. Women would NEVER be allowed to attain such power again. They were put into slavery, and BRED to be smaller, and more feeble to man as to never gain control again. The war on woman is an ugly war. Our women are led to believe they have to be a certain way, dress a certain way, act like clowns and wear makeup, dance for us, and basically be sexual servants. this CANNOT be denied. What is the reason for this? Could true peace scare man in such a way as to condemn future women for generations to come?

Women are supposed to be able to choose a man because of what is in his heart, and mind. Not because he is corrupt, steals, and has a nice ride. These men with dark souls could not find a woman because no woman would carry these traits of evil. These men could not even BUY a woman, because there was no money. These are the very men who control the world now.

I completely agree with him about women. It's so hard to watch how they latch on to security and comfort instead of a heart-felt romance. Hard to watch the commercials and ads of them scantily clad flapping their tits around trying to sell Budweiser. So hard to try to just give love to a female without them feeling like they have to be afraid of you. So hard to watch women put themselves in place consciously without even attempting to stand up for their Hearts.

It's about high time that we all took a look within ourselves and forgave the world that has caused so much damage to your feminine energy. All men carry within us the genetic memory of being a female. And all women carry within them the genetic memory of being males... We were born into this life partly to balance all of this memory harmoniously. And to find peace within ourselves in spite of the past.

Please, males, give yourself permission to explore your genetic memory of being female, and please, females, do not be afraid to explore your past experiences as males! There is much power to be found in balancing your subconscious and conscious, female and male energy!

It's all about Love. If you spend enough time in deep love with yourself and appreciation for even the simplest things in your life. You will feel an ecstatic state that goes so far beyond love, truly Ecstasy is the only word which comes close to this feeling. Our natural state when we are harmoniously balanced in all aspects of our macro-selves and micro-selves, this is what is meant by the word "Avatar". An Avatar is the Consciousness which has mastered all previous forms of mineral life, vegetable life, and animal life, blended into one Golden God..."I".

The Sportswomen From a Male Bastion - Haryana

Haryana is a state in the Northern part of India. It is a small state with about 2% of India's population. The state is inhabited by the Jat communities, who are a hardy race and are respected for bravery and courage. In fact the Indian Army has quite a few Jat regiments in their ranks.

Haryana thus is also known as the land of Jats. The stamp of the Jats, who are the dominant community, is there for all to see over the state. Haryana which was once a backward region of the erstwhile state of undivided Punjab, has made tremendous progress in the economic field and there is all round development.

However this progress has to a degree not translated to the women of Haryana where the girl child was neglected for long. The result is that female infanticide and preference for sons has taken roots in Haryana. There is lack of social awareness and for decades Haryana is witness to a deprivation of the rights of women and girls as an equal part of society.

The repercussions for this mind set have been far reaching and Haryana has the lowest male female ratio in India, with a ratio of 982 females for every 1000 males. This is alarming and the union and state government have taken note of it. Efforts are on to change the mind set of the people there.

But all the efforts of the government and social workers have paled before the achievement of the Jat girls in the recently concluded common wealth games. This is one event that has given a fillip to the importance and awareness of the girl child. At these games held at Delhi this year the Haryana girls have set the medal charts on fire in all games and events. Thus from Wrestling to Athletics the girls from Haryana have set the imagination of entire India afire with stupendous performances. Athletic and beautiful these girls have cornered the imagination of India. This has also brought out the awareness among the males of Haryana as to wealth, potency and beauty of there women.

These girls have won nearly 40% of all medals won by the Indian women, despite Haryana having just about 2% of India's population. The men in Haryana have noted this achievement of their women and there is genuine joy in Haryana at these events. This will certainly have its repercussions and we can hope that the dark period of female infanticide and preference for sons may dip just a little and the Haryana can move forward. I have no doubt that this will happen.

The Triumph of a Woman

It is amazing what women can do when they put their minds to it. For men to believe that women are incapable of great adventures and feats is laughable. Each time I hear a man say something like this, I just shake my head, because apparently they don't know the kind of women that I do. I often find that women make better leaders, better entrepreneurs, and are often more dedicated in their sports and endeavors than most of the men.

There was a great article in Boating Magazine in the June 2010 edition titled; "On Board With Katie Spotz - She Crossed the Ocean the Hard Way," and after reading the article, I'd say she definitely gave a one-ups-woman-ship to all men out there. Yes, she did cross the ocean the hard way, this 22-year old rowed across the ocean, holy smokes, can you imagine that - the determination, drive, endurance, and perseverance of one strong woman - totally amazing in every regard.

In the interview in the magazine she stated she took a few 1,000 songs, and audio lectures on her journey, imagine that, she could get a whole years school work while rowing across the ocean. Luckily, she didn't face any big storms while out there in the middle of the ocean thankfully. Yes, Katie was able to row across the Atlantic Ocean in 70 days, because she set her mind to do it.

She proved that women can do anything they put their mind to, and she triumphed over adversity and made the grade. Although when she finished she was somewhat sunburned, and had trouble walking up and down stairs, from sitting and rowing, or sleeping, as she was unable to stand up without holding onto something to the rowboat, she made it through with flying colors.

No one should ever estimate the triumph of a woman, or any woman that sets her mind out to do something. Nothing is impossible, and to think that men are somehow better suited for adventure, and accomplishing their goals than women are, is completely sexist and biased in my humble opinion. I think Katie proved that. If you are a superstar woman embarking on a great adventure, I hope you will please e-mail me, and tell me about all that is you are doing. Please think on this.

Tips For Buying Lady Perfume For Your Loved Ones

If you plan on gifting lady perfume to a loved one, it helps to have a nose for the selection. The are several tips that can help ensure that you are able to choose the right scent for every individual that you are shopping for. Whether looking for a special scent for a special someone, or simply gifting all of the women in your family for an anniversary or other special event, taking the right steps in the selection process will ensure that you give high value and well-appreciated presents each and every time.

One of the best ways to win big with everyone is by purchasing a sampler selection. Try finding a big name designer whose entire line of fragrances are offered in one large box of samples. This is a great way to gift several women with fragrances while making sure that everyone is happy.

You can also try to find perfume selection that include different products with the same scent. This provides for a more comprehensive gift. These might include scented hand lotion, eau de toilette and with some brands even dusting powder which will help create a stunning cosmetic table display.

Many women have a signature fragrance. These are the ladies that announce their arrival by the fragrant aroma of a long cherished perfume. Gifting a woman with a bigger stock of a perfume that she already loves is a great way to please her. If you know a woman who always wears the same product, rather than trying to find a similar brand or change her mind about the fragrance that she adores, go with what you know will make her happy.

When shopping lady perfume for any of the women in the family, try to make age appropriate selections for each member of the group. Young women tend to prefer lighter, fruitier notes. Older women may enjoy a subtle and exotic fragrance with such as an oriental scent. Rather than trying to take care of everyone with the same fragrance, work to incorporate different designers that accommodate all age groups and preferences.

Tips For Making A Great Fashion Bag Selection

If you are seeking to gift your loved one with a fashion bag, there are several things that you can do to ensure the value of your purchase. Making sure to get a gift that will be enjoyed for years to come requires that you make several quality distinctions and understand the style choices of the individual that you are shopping for. With a little careful attention placed on the right details you can give a stellar present that will be well appreciated.

While they look nice, low quality fashion bags do not last. They fray in areas of high visibility and often lose their initial color and texture after only a short period of use. Worse, they are usually ill-constructed and do not offer many of the features of a high end product.

Opting for a designer name selection is a great way to be sure to impress. It is also the only way to ensure you will be gifting a product that promises high end looks and durability all in one package. Plus, a big name bag is always far more appreciated than a cheap knock off. It is extremely important for you to have a fair idea of what the individual that you are shopping for prefers. If there are certain designers that they tend to stick with, speak of fairly often, or certain look that they often pine for, you have a clear shopping path already laid out for you.

Luckily, you are able to get a ton of different looks from well known designers at wholesale prices. The trick to doing so is by making the very most of your online shopping resources. You can use consumer ratings and reviews to locate a reputable supplier that offers a stellar selection at the right price.
Once you have located a stylish and well made fashion bag, you can also round off the gift with matching accessories. A matching tote, wallet or other amenity is a great way to make any woman happy. With several complimentary pieces she can take her new cherished possession everywhere she goes.

Varicose Veins - How They Can Ruin Your Summer

What are Varicose Veins?
What makes them different from regular veins? Well, varicose veins are swollen blood vessels, they may look tangled and ropey in some cases. They tend to bulge out and may appear blue or violet in color. They are often found on the legs and feet, sometimes in the inner thighs. So if you notice some ugly veins bulging in your legs or feet, they are most likely varicose veins.

Statistics indicate that about 7 out of 10 American women will suffer from vein problems before reaching the age of 50. Most of these women often have them during their forties. Although the risks of women having vein problems are much higher than that of men, this does not mean they will not have vein problems. Men too may be diagnosed with the same condition, though men tend to ignore these veins.

One fact is that they can really ruin your day. Those ugly veins will make you less confident in wearing those skirts and mini shorts during summer. Varicose veins are confused often with spider veins, which are less serious and milder. Spider veins are regular veins that are ugly, they are more on the cosmetic side.
So before going on, what exactly is the cause of varicose veins? Doctors say that they are the result of weak vein walls causing blood to flow unnaturally, creating visible and bulging veins in the area.

Still not sure if you have varicose veins? Check out these symptoms.
1. Swelling of the ankles of under the knee. May feel a little pain when the areas are put to pressure.
2. A feeling of heaviness when legs are in prolonged positions.
3. Cramps or aching in leg region or feet.
4. Burning sensation around the area with the visible veins.

Having at least 3 of these symptoms will mean that you are likely to have the condition. If you are feeling discomfort and pain in your legs, it may always be considered a negative sign, so please consult your doctor.

If you have the condition, do not worry. It is not life threatening. Varicose vein treatments have advanced rapidly in the recent years. They can be removed easily through laser treatments, which can be absolutely painless. Just ask your friends or do your research on the web to find the right doctor for you.
